How do you get mods to work? Mods seem very interesting so I want to use them but how do I? also do you know any good mods for the original version of sins of a solar empire? I have not been able to update yet.

Vista is pretty annoying
to find your sins version look in the BOTTOM RIGHTHAND corner of the sins main menu eg 1.13 is sins 1.13 beta0.93.006 is entrenchment beta2.5

This post is really old. I have now updated to the latest version of sins.(1.14?) I am, however havig problems downloaing mods.
any particular mod or is it general downloading?
you gotta go to
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods
(put your username in place of "Username", and its possible that "Users" isn't there) and stick it there. This is for Vista.You must ensure that the mod you are downloading is compaitble with your current game update, and you must also enable the mod in-game. this is done in the options area. there is a button for them on the left side.
one level up, you can go to the other things, like recordings, screenshots, custom maps, etc.
1 DOWNLOAD MOD
2 MAKE SURE ITS A ZIP FOLDER IF NOT RIGHT CLICK THEN SEND TO COMPRESED ZIP FOLDER
3 THEN RIGHT CLICK CLICK EXTRACT ALL THEN TYPE C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods FOR SINS BUT FOR ENTRENCHMENT INSTEAD OF MODS ITS \Mods-Entrenchment v1.02
